Need these 2 clarified if ya'll don't mind. To my understanding the ipt controller is like an adjustable shift kit? How worthy is the TCU really? Can you adjust line pressure like the boost controller? Just curious because i have a Eprom laying around in the garage and I'm going to start putting my car together soon... not too soon tho LOL. Also, just so i could ease my mind, Does anyone have a pic of the kiggly 6 bolt adapter already installed? I tried looking for the video on IPT's website. I just feel like the flexplate is the only thing necessary to make it happen. (prob not i know)
 
The IPT boost controller modifies the pulse generator signal coming from the tcu. if the tcu isn't there then there won't a signal to modify. so basically the boost controller would be useless, unless you can figure out how to make a pulse signal.
 
A burned chip for the TCU will adjust shift points as well as shift firmness. That being said.... My chip didn't give me full line pressure like it is supposed to. The shift points worked great but I still had to do the blue wire mod to get it to full line pressure.

Did you contact the chip burner about it ? The chip can give you full line pressure.....Mine does it at WOT only because that what I asked for....

It seems to be a common problem, I figured it was just part of the deal. But I suppose I should get ahold of him even if it's just for a shift point change

It is not a common problem at all, the chip has been on cars making 700+ whp and running 9s. duty cycle of the line pressure solenoid is directly controlled via the tables in the TCU. Commanded full line pressure can't be anything less unless the valve body is adjusted incorrectly. See Kiggly's tech page for more info on how your relief valves should be properly adjusted. You can do the blue wire mod if you're still unconvinced and still enjoy an automatically shifting transmission with custom shift points. An anamoly is possible I suppose but I have verified the data on test cars both 1g and 2g.

the "boost controller" does not modify the pulse generator signal, the pulse generators are shaft speed sensors. It incorrectly modifies the pulse signal to the line pressure solenoid in an incorrect manner. It uses resistors to drop the voltage, which does not properly work on a pulse modulated system. The solenoid requires a 12 volt pulse to work properly and consistently, taking voltage away just increases pressure though a created intermitten solenoid failure. Also as was mentioned, if you have no TCU you can't use it.

If you just wanna push some buttons and don't want an auto mapped TCU get the fourcedfour or roadsurge box.
