anybody know what A/N fittings i need for the turbo oil feed from the head? do they make them?

would like to find the blue and red ones. thanks for the help.:talon:

You need the -3 sizes, but depending on the turbo you will need one of a few various size and thread types for the attactment at teh head and tubro. Then from those you will have to adapt from typically 1/8 NPT to the AN fittings and then back to NPT to attatch at the other end.

basically there's no "set parts" for doing the job, you just have to pick what fits your particular application and then build the line.. the most info that will help you start is that they are -3 in size.

If i could find my camera i would take pics of the parts.. in front of me now i have the 2 fittings needed to adapt a -3 to the head or OFH and turbo (garrett turbo anyway)

one is a 1/8BPT to -3 AN ( BPT = brittish pipe thread - non tapered thread) this one is for the head or OFH (mitsu used non tapered BPT brittish threads on their oil ports) to the line, and the turbo takes a tapered 1/8 NPT to -3 AN ( NPT = national pipe thread - tapered thread) again most time 1/8th NPT to -3AN adaprter..then just get a line built at a hydraulic shop or brake shop

If you have another make of turbo like a holset or mitsu, i dont' know the parts of the top of my head, but i bet i have them laying around, just not in red/blue, but i could still take pics to help you get the right ones

i found what i need for the turbo..(18g) extreme psi has one that go's to the turbo that hooks to the 6 A/N. BUT iam still trying to find the one that go's to the head.
that will hook up to an 6A/N FITTING.

thanks for the help.

you dont want a -6 for the oil feed, you want something small like a -3 to keep the volume of oil in a properly sized passage to the turbo...now coming from the turbo to oil pan you want to use at least a -10 AN as teh return must not have any restriction. The oiling is the most important part of keeping a turbo alive, so do it properly even if it don't look as good as you want it to. especially the return, if you start backing oil up in the turbo you can say goodbye to the seals

-6 will work for the cooling lines perfectly as I've used that many times on cars including my own.

thats a good point, i guess i'll settle for a normal line.. iam just going for style piont these days. car has bin runnig pretty good

good enough to earn the respect of a few V8 fans down here in kentucky.

thanks for your help..:talon:

On my head i ran a -4 to m10x1.25 adaptor, with a 90 degree elbow. You can get them from summit. Earls is the manufacturer.

snailspool is correct. The thread pitch at the head is 10x1.25. So all you need is a metric to AN fitting. You can also get a banjo fitting from FP like this Forced Performance Turbochargers: Assorted Banjo Fittings that a -4 AN will screw right on to. If its a stock turbo or a 16g, 18g, 20g etc. the oil inlet on the turbo will be 12x1.25. You can get the 12mm banjo for that end or another metric to AN fitting, whichever route you want to go.

yea, the head is 10 x 1.25 on the side, or you can come out the front with the 1/8bpt IIRC... i my be off on that one, sorry.

I just used a -4an ss line about 20in long. then I took the banjo fitting off an old clutch slave cylinder. it also is the right 10mm x 1.25. I then got a 10mm x 1.00 to -4an fitting to adapt from the banjo to the line. for the turbo side you'll have to see what others have done because I have a garrett center section.
