i´m paulo from los mochis sinaloa mexico, i own a 99 gs eclipse, i want to boost it, some guy its triyng to sold me a Garret TB03 Turbo bout i dont know nothing about turbos and really apreciate if some one on this forum culd give some help, i know that the turbo isn´t the only thing that i need, bur could be the beggining of a project.

If you know nothing about turbo systems, I suggest you don't get into trying to turn a gs into a gst. Maybe save up and buy a gst if you really want to have a turbocharged car.

I'm sure they're a little harder to come by in Mexico, man. I would suggest getting on Amazon.com and looking for a book called "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. Find out from the experts here if that's a turbo that will be relatively easy to use in a custom turbo kit before you buy it. Then get that book and read up on turbocharging basics. You can also check out www.2gnt.com for more information on turbocharging your GS. Not to mention there is a tech article here about doing a custom turbo kit for about $1000.

Do some more research before you drop any cash on such a thing.

here in mexico the eclipse do not sold until the 3rd gen. my car came from river side ca

Haste un viaje a california o tejas,comprate un modelo turbo, y ahorrate un dolor de cabeza.Solamente una sugerencia.Podes modificar to no turbo en turbo pero no va hacer tan confiable como el modelo turbo.

It becomes a GS-T, then again, I guess that's the actual designation of the FWD 4G63T cars, but you all are too busy trying to keep them running to waste a moment by including the hyphen. Maybe the turbo 420A GS would become a GST after all.

On the other hand, what does any of this have to do with the poster's question? Not much.
