they've ran 10.8's at best and thats STOCK! put a 42r or any turbo on it and see whats fast. Dont get me wrong, i love DSMS but your comparing apples to oranges. Will that talon be faster? yeah, will it look as good? I guess thats all your choice, but its a super car compared to a 19 year old car that was meant to run high 14's and get good gas mileage. Im not bashing by any means guys, Its your money and your gonna do what you want. Not trying to sound like a jerk

Why not just go out and just get the BIG DOG ZR1 all-new LS9 motor produces 620 horsepower now thats a true vette unlike the z06 over rated who wouldnt want the ZR1 over the z06 when you can buy an ls1 camaro or T/A and drop like 20k or less and run low 10's and still daily driven with no problem.

Yeah the Z06 may only run what, like 11.8 or something like that if I remember correctly. But its not about that.....a Z06 is a freakin supercar. I had to ride in one to appreciate it. At 150mph is handles better than a DSM at 40mph, . My buddys got one, its sick.

finally, someone see's my point. And a stock C6 has ran 10.8's. BONE STOCK! and the ZR1, 630hp is INSANE! I'd take a C6 over a gtr anyday

yeah this is awesome you dont see a 42r dsm everyday i mean how many dsm do you know of that are running 42r set up I think theres more evo's owning 42r set ups over the dsm but still sick.

Sure the ZR1 is sick but it is also over 100,000 dollars, why not just build a supra. Any way this post was intended for talks about vettes,gtr's or supras.

Its a good thing you didnt get a vette, they are just as common to see as a civic, not good if you are a supercar.

And "kids" please stop talking about cars that you know nothing about!! Drive a Z06 and than you will know why it cost 70G....And it "only" runs 10.8 stock!!!WTF a 10 sec car is FAST!!! much less a stock one. Will I purches a new Z06, no I would not, I'm with this guy I would rather put that money into my other car's...

Sure the Z06 will depreciate 10g when you drive it off of the lot, but what kind of return can you get on that DSM when it is all said and done. It's not about the money it's about the passion! that is why we spend all of our money on our car's, catch shit from our wifes (or GF). It dosent matter if we spend it on our DSM's or the Vette guy's spend it on there Z06's.

I know quite a few people with the same aspirations that run ALMOST the exact same setup and when someone wants to go fast its a 42r, foxlake head, and a dogbox.

Just kind of sick of seeing the EXACT same things being ran, and the fact you have a show room condition 1g that you turned into a drag car turns my stomach....its pointless.

the car is a bad. incredible amount of work and passion must have went in to that. but the whole 1/4 mile thing never really got my attention. i am trying to build my car for the targa newfoundland race. only one race a year, 1400 miles split into five sections through canada. now that is racing. but then again i grew up driving the backroads in ohio. just my thing i guess. but overall you do have to understand that you a driving a dream for most of us...sweet ride...
