Shredwin: I have a friend that was from johnsonburg/St. Marys area. He lives in Stoneboro now but he goes back to St. marys alot maybe you have seen his green 1G around it has a buschur fmic and an E316G turbo.

Im not sure who that could be whats his name?, I have never seen a green 1G around here or johnsonburg.... but would like to meet this guy and you as well since there is barely any DSM guys around here

My magnus took a crap and they didn't want to rectify. It was more than 3yrs old so I just went out and bought a real manifold, AMS VSR.

Yea, from the independent things i have seen, the Magnus puts down just as much as any other intake manifold. Thats why i went ahead and purchased a RACE intake from them today.

yeah a z06 for $70,000 and only running 11's thats a ripoff this DSM with 42r set up and right tune is look low 9's to high 8's maybe even mid to low 8's since I know my buddy's evo 8 with 42r setup from ams runs mid to low 9's. for 45k thats better then a 70k z06 running 11's

they've ran 10.8's at best and thats STOCK! put a 42r or any turbo on it and see whats fast. Dont get me wrong, i love DSMS but your comparing apples to oranges. Will that talon be faster? yeah, will it look as good? I guess thats all your choice, but its a super car compared to a 19 year old car that was meant to run high 14's and get good gas mileage. Im not bashing by any means guys, Its your money and your gonna do what you want. Not trying to sound like a jerk

Here is my problem, the Z06 was supposed to be around 60000 then they were trying to get almost 80000 for it. I am not paying 20000 over MSRP for a car that is going to lose 10000 dollars in value as soon as I drive it off the lot. to get that car as fast as mine would cost another 40000 dollars. Not very good bang for the buck. My car may be 19 years old but it only has 50000 miles on it and it is not the typical dsm scrap pile that seems to be so common anymore.

WOW!!!! the price of that turbo setup, dogbox, tilton, and head are more than Im putting into my car for the 42r build I am doing . Well I hope to see this car at the shootout this august, hopefully mine is done as well.

Yeah I wanted to use the best parts I could. I love this car and would choose it over my evo anyday. Anyone can get their hands on an evo but a 50k original mile 90 dsm is hard to find.
