Is there a difference between a 98 GSX AC compressor... And just a regular 98 AC compressor? Looking through the forums and not having any luck...

A '97-'99 A/C compressor is the same between all Eclipses and Talons EXCEPT those with the 420A. If by "regular 98 A/C compressor" you mean one from a GS, RS, ESi, or base model, the answer is that they are very different.

OK thanks Brian... Would you any place that would sell a good one with a reasonable price?

Brand new OEM compressors are obviously good but expensive, nearly $700 from JNZ Tuning, and don't include the clutch assembly (another ~$260). Moving down from there, parts stores list new and re-manufactured non-OEM units with the clutch assembly at various prices (and I'm sure various qualities) down to as little as $220 where, in my experiences, the quality is not very good.

Used units can also be good and had at low cost. The difficulty there is trusting and believing it really is functional. :p

Thanks Brian,
someone pm'd me and had a spear one waiting on reply.. Hopefully its in good condition.. thanks again for the info very useful...

Mark..
