i have my engine out, and im wanting to do a complete a/c delete. however, how do i remove everything if there is free on in the pipes? i cannot take the car somewhere to have it evacuated. thanks.

You can just start unbolting the lines from each other however it's a MASSIVE fine from the EPA and DEP if they would find out about it. If you do do that, do it out side as the vapors are toxic which is one reason for having the gas vacuumed out and properly disposed of.

just unbolt the stuff, don't worry about it

You will die if enough refrigerant is inhaled. It's heavier than air so if breathed in, you will asphyxiate due to the gas displacing the oxygen in your lungs.

R-12

Exposure to Flame

R-12 can pose a danger when it is exposed to flame. The gas may decompose into its parts (HF and HCI). The R-12 has the potential regenerating into phosgene, a chemical warfare agent.

R-12 Leak Dangers

Inhaling R-12 directly from a leak can be toxic. Freon settles into the lungs whenever it is inhaled. It is heavier than air. Large quantities displace oxygen and can lead to asphyxiation.

R-134
Damage to the Skin

Exposure to R-134a can cause frostbite if it contacts the skin or eyes when the chemical is in a liquid or gaseous form. Contact with the chemical can occur when a refrigerator or other canister containing it ruptures. It is important to wear protective clothing, such as heavy-duty rubber gloves and goggles, when working with systems that contain R-134a to prevent this type of injury. Frostbite can cause varying degrees of damage, from skin burns to injuries requiring amputation.

Asphyxiation

Asphyxiation can occur when exposed to R-134a gas in sufficient quantities. Exposure is most dangerous in confined spaces such as vehicle repair bays or other work spaces where workers are exposed for a prolonged period of time. Gas exposure can cause a lightheaded feeling leading to unconsciousness. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the lethal air concentration of R-134a is 500,000 parts per million. (That number means there has to be a lot for it to become lethal. 1 million parts of air, half of it needs to be R134 to be a lethal dose)

Explosion

Canisters or other containers holding R-134a that become exposed to open flame or come under heated pressure may explode. Explosions can cause catastrophic damage to any system being worked on as well as pose a significant health risk to anyone nearby. It is important to keep all heated materials away from R-134a containers and to make sure no power is running to a system using the chemical while its being repaired or examined.

You can take it to any shop that does ac work and have it evacuated,i'm pretty sure they will do it for free

That would have been the best option so it could have been properly collected and not released into the atmosphere but he specifically stated that he couldn't take it anywhere.
