Does anybody know if there is a company out there that makes an A/C delete pulley or is there a way that i can bypass my A/C?

i know on the 1g's you can just take the a/c out and it does not affect any other pully's or belts in fact you can just take the a/c belt off by itself...then eventually the compressor, condensor, and all the lines, and theres a whole fuse box for a/c you can remove also

Just don't put it back on when you rebuild your engine. ;)
With the A/C delete and the balance shafts removed you'll find it spins MUCH more freely.

I would suggest leaving the compressor mounted, though. It's a PITA to work around and the bolts required me to remove the power steering lines just to get the thing off while it was in the car. Also the mounting bracket bolts also are attached to the intermediate shaft bearing and can cause a couple extra headaches for you.

actually that thing is pretty heavy, and it was pretty simple to get off when i had the intake mani off, and also make sure you take out that condensor located behind the radiator...you will free up alot of room for you radiator to get airflow and run cooler

My car is a 2G GS. The A/C compressor is mounted on the lower front left of the block. I either need to get an A/C delete pulley or figure out some other way to run a belt. My pulley froze on my compressor so my belt spins on the still pulley. I cant seem to find a delete pulley anywhere. Does anybody have any ideas they can throw out there?

i know on some of the non turbo eclipses, they were made without a/c. so there is a belt out there for the ability to run just the power steering pump. you also have to tension the non a/c belt with the power steering pump's pivot adjustment. also, you may just want to do what was stated above and remove the compressor, belt tensioner pulley, condensor and hoses. its a good 50-60 pounds easily, and in the quarter time that's a .05 of a second or more off your time. i am currently running no a/c and no power steering, and also with the a/c componets, spare tire, rear seats, passenger seat, and seat belts removed. thats about 160lbs off the stock weight(3065 for the RS model) which reduces it to approx. 2905lbs, so that's about .15sec off my time. also i might add the fact that every 100lbs is a tenth of a second off the quarter time, and approx equal to 10bhp. and im very certain there is a belt for no a/c because i work at a honda/mitsu dealer and looked into it for my own preference. if you cant find one, i measured a belt circumference on mine of approx. 42.5 inches. so as for the weight reduction and the possibility, its looking good.

also keep in mind that the power steering is only taking enough hp to really worry about, while under loads conditions such as turning.

hope this helps you out
