Will I be able to use the OEM 17" GSX Wheels to go with a Baer Big Brake Kit? Or a Stop Tech, Willwood? Would like to get something with four pistons up front.

My car is a 1990 Tsi AWD.

You're right it only requires 17", I was going by my memory which obviously isn't too good. :)

Roast Beef and I tried putting a stock 2g 17" GSX wheel over my big brakes and they didn't fit. They hit on the caliper. But my big brake kit will clear aftermarket 17" wheels, just not stock 17" GSX wheels. I don't know why. I know the Baer kit is a smaller caliper then what I have.
BTW, Dave Laundry has the Baer big brake kit on his 1g, he has 16" Volks. Of course he grinded down the inside of the wheels to make everything fit.

it has everything to do with the design of the wheel internally, and offset.

Most good brake upgrade companies will have a template you can use to test your current wheels. It's a good thing to try. :)
