99 GSX (106K miles)

Tonight I am going to look at the above mentioned car. It will be dark but I want to get a feel for it and return on Saturday for a better look. The guy told me he has replaced the Alternator, Valve cover gasket and valve cover. The car is completely stock and has never been modified.

What do you guys suggest I look at? listen for? or try?

He mentioned the car takes a crank or two more to start when cold -vs warmer weather... is this normal for this car?

He is asking $10,000.00 / OBO.

Kbb says $8,500.00 and some change.

I was going to offer $9,000.00 and call it a day if I like the way it sounds, feels and looks.

Should I offer less?

Sounds good, lots of miles. Check to see if he has service records, also check timing belt etc. I would offer him 9k and see what he says. I payed a little under 11k for my 99 GSX with 52k miles.

I wouldn't pay over $8,500 because of all those miles. If It's in really good condition then I guess a bit more.
