I have a 99 Eclipse Sypder with a 2.0L Swap (6 Bolt Swap) and i just bought the car and it was not running when i got it. But it's Getting no spark and has no CEL light when i turn the key over to the 2nd on position and i am getting no power to any of the ecu connectors. This car was also an automatic at one time and i have noticed in order to start it the clutch does not have to be engaged.

I have checked the following: Timing is correct, Fuses are all good, CEL Light Bulb is good, Fuel pump does come on (I hear it)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Does it have the FULL 2l harnesses? Engine and front chassis?

Well, There is connectors there that are just hanging there.. not plugged up to anything. The coolant temp connector has cut wires on the plug... cut wires because they added a apexi neo controller and a maf sensor translator and how do i tell if its a 2.0L harness? i know they also left the stock 2.4L ECU in the car.

That's issue one, the stock ecu. It is flash-able to the GST/GSX roms but you would need a Openport 2.0 cable. Also, is your engine bay fuse box a rectangle on the passenger side or more of an L shaped one on the drivers side?

What ecu do i need? will it be plug-n-play with the stock ecu harness? My fuse boxe cover looks like the one in this pic.

Then that is the 2.4/NT harness. You will need the turbo harness to make this work easily for you. The ECU will work with your setup. It just need to be flashed.

Will the ECU i have i think is shot anyways, So can you give me a list of parts i need to purchase here? How hard will it be to install the new 2.0L Turbo harness? What's the issue with what i currently have do you think?

Harness related. SAFC can ruin a harness if the installer has no idea what there doing.

ECU, engine harness, chassis harness. Thats about it. I have harnesses, PM me if you want them.

Have you been able to get the car running in the past?
You said that you bought it not running but then also said that the clutch pedal doesn't have to be depressed to start it?

Do you have power to the radio or anything else inside when the ignition is in ACC?

Just bought it yesterday, i mean it does not have to be depressed to crank the car it will try to start without the clutch pedal being pressed in or with it being pressed in. will try to start both ways. I do have power to my radio on the acc.

Make sure the MPI/MFI relay is getting power. Try running a jumper wire to the ECU from the battery.
2G Turbo ECU Pinouts

Sounds like a definite wiring problem in the engine wiring harness.

Fuel pump comes on so mpi/mfi is getting power, so run a wire form the battery to the red power wire for the ecu? This should jump the ecu off?

exciting news!! i jumped of my red wire on the ecu and my cel came on and my neo came on and just wow!! Maybe this thing will crank now.

Well i jumped off the ecu with a wire form the battery to the ecu power wire and the car started right up, i took it for a test drive and it drives ok.. the motor has been beat on some i know.. but my gas pedal kinda gets stuck and slowly drops speed and rpm and slowly comes back into place.. any ideas on this?

The major issue is fixed for now until i rip it apart to fix it the way it should be fixed.

Make sure the throttle body spring is good and then check that the cable isn't binding up somewhere. It's definitely felt in the pedal position though? Not from a vacuum leak somewhere?

pedal is hard to press in, so it's definitely in the pedal.
