Installed new tranny in car, won't start now absolutely no spark, had it towed to a local shop they blow up ecu. Finally bought *new* OEM ecu, still will not start so here are the things that I have been done so far.

-New MFI Relay
-New ASD Relay
-New MSD Coil
-New MSD Wire
-New Nonology silver tip plugs (gap to manuf. spec)
-New ECU (factory)
-New Crankshaft Position Sens
-Checked wiring under dash and at Starter Relay etc
-Fully charged Yellow top Optima
-Good/Tested Cam Shaft Postion Sensor.

Don't know about Power Transistor can't find it . I do know that I am not getting voltage to the coil. I do have a OBD 2 read but not throwing codes. The car used to have an Alldin car alarm (pager style) in it but was removed and I check the wiring it was hooked up to for shorts and such none found.

Really confused please help :cry:
 
Went and bought a new cam pos sensor from mitsu, and installed it. Now the problem presents slightly different: The tach act really strange when I turn the key to assc postion the tach neddle jumps to 7500 (or beyoud) stays there and then when I crank the car over it swing toward zero like the tach is working backward (9000 being zero and 0 being 9000+) really odd and my fuel pump stays on I can hear it running, pluse theres a clicking sound (sounds Like a relay) clicks like a clock every second. Click..Click..Click..Click... until I crank the car over then It stops clicking until return the key to the assc postion. But the ASD relay stays lacthed up, weird but when I put the old cam sensor back in none of this happens the fuel pump turn on primes and then goes quite and the tack stays a zero even while cranking, I just put this whole thing in to document my prob for others. Tommaro I am taking my car to a DSM shop in my area and having it looked at (I actually posted on DSM tuner to find out where to take it this time, Shops called English Racing they're DSM people yeah!!:thumb:)
 
Problem is now Fixed this is what I think happened: The intial problem was a cam shaft postion sensor, then I took the car to the fore mentioned shop (MIKEs') there they 'bypassed' somethings, this is what I think they did to fry the ecu, was to swap the tach and coil pack harness around this blow the ecu. I then went and bought an ECU after taking the car home, and I installed the ecu int car along with a plethora of parts; still the car would not start. I then joined dsm tuner posted, and stated working on this problem on a more techincal level. The new ECU I tought was good was now blowen (as I never swaped the wires back). I bought a new cam postion sensor causing the orig. problem to become fixed and tach to act weird. I then took the car to English racing where after getting odd voltages from the coil harness they eventuall noticed that they were the wrong wires swaped them into their respective places and replaced the blown ecu. Now my car run and I drove it for the first time in like a year and a half yesterday it was beuatiful :cry:

So the problem was blown ECU, and swaped harness positions


I just wanted to thank everyone on DSM tuner that Helped me and say thank to the guys at English Racing they know they stuff big time and they didn't take me to the cleaners:cool:
 
yesterday I wrote that it was the tach and the coil plug I ment speed sensor plug and coil harness plug not tach. Sorry for any confusion
