ECMlink 98GSX/Billet 20g/FIC1120's/Built Long Block, Cannot boost past 20psi??

GST with PSI needs a 2500rpm too redline log, and I have to either turn the boost down, or run 25psi... which I'm going >100MPH with a very bad r/f lower ball joint, and the car needs an alignment. And, I just got it back on the road. It's been down since Monday. I had the radiator flushed and cleaned by a local radiator shop (it was running ~205-210). Also installed a 170F thermostat. If all goes well ,I'm putting the ball joint on tomorrow (Sat), and get a 4 wheel alignment early next week.

I know I should have stated my steering/alignment issue earlier, but,... geez.. I don't wanna kill someone, because my front-end likes to pull to the left, and sway....

tuning will continue as long as GST with PSI finds time, and I keep-up with the basic maintenance. :)

yes take care of the ball joint and get a mishimoto thermostat opens 18 degrees sooner

Okay, even with some suspension issues, GST with PSI!!!, I managed to get a 2kRPM to damn near 7kRPM, log. I was watching traffic, so I didn't run it till 7k or more... but here ya go. thanks for being patient.

dfootedsm:
I got a Stant 170Degree and now I'm staying a little cooler. Id Love to get mine painted, but id rather work out the kinks first, then focus on a nice base/clear coat job.

just looking over the log, I believe I floored it to 6189RPM, @ 18psi..(Boost Estimate) only going 82MPH... If this log doesn't suite ya, ill grab another....

I added some fuel from about 200hz on, and slightly bumped your global fuel. Hopefully that brings your AFRs in line. Just upload the settings.

You STILL need to make a manual TPS adjustment. -15 on a 110% scale is way off. My TPS is 0 adjustment on a 100% scale. If you're more than + or - 1 or 2 on either the offset of scale, you're TPS needs to be adjusted/replaced. Fix the TPS.

Once your AFRs are inline we can add timing. How much boost was this pull on (18psi)? What fuel are you currently running?

I looked at the log, and added BostEst to my views, and IT said 18psi.. I didn't look at my gauge. I will manually adjust the TPS but slightly loosening the 2 bolts holding it there, and rotate until after a tps adjustment its correct? You said Manually.. you weren't referring to the r/click during a capture, and then TPS ADJUST...

I put 12gallons of Sunoco 93, and 4 gallons of Sunoco 100 unleaded Race gas...

Yes, manual adjustment meaning loosen the bolts, and set the sensor to where it reads 0% at rest.

The problem with tuning on your racegas mix is the tune will only be good for that mix. Once you go back to shitty 93, you'll probably be knocking your ass off if we get aggressive with the timing on your current fuel mix.

Once you go back to sh**ty 93, you'll probably be knocking your ass off if we get aggressive with the timing on your current fuel mix.
GST with PSI.... I had a feeling about the racegas mix, that why I only put $40 in.. I wasn't expecting to get you a 3rd gear pull , until the ball joint is in, and a 4 wheel alignment. But my lazy/neglected brain said "turn the boost down to wastegate pressure, and do a 3rd gear pull" I'll fix the TPS issue, and burn out this 94.75octane race gas mixture. Sorry... I will run it out, and fill back up with 93octane.

I appreciate the responses. And, I'll apply the new settings tomorrow AM. When you say get my afr's in check, were they rich or lean?

Well, the whole point of this is to ultimately teach you. So, take a look at your log and you tell me?

Take a look here, and this should help you get to your answer:

Your trying to get afr's and wideband to match up. And you are already using the Evo8 tables, and dialing in MAF Comp, knowing Wide Band Factor should say 0, Choose slider from MAFRaw, adjust by what wideband factor says...??

I'm assuming he's lean since were trying to get less parts air to fuel or more fuel to air to bring you away from knock? 10.7 air to fuel and you want less air To fuel to eliminate knock or detonation?you said like 9 or so

If you added fuel from 200hz on up, I would guess my afr's were lean.. Aye? :D

Yes, but if that's how you came to your answer, you cheated. If you're going to tune your own stuff, you need to be able to come to that conclusion from examining the log data alone.

So, based on Scott's video and the information I've given you, what log values are most important when trying to determining if your Air/Fuel ratios are where they are supposed to be? And, if your AFRs aren't on track, how do you go about adjusting them?

Here are a few posts from a while ago that will give you more information regarding the questions above:

I'd like you to do another 3rd gear pull with the adjustments I've made, and then make some of your own adjustments (if necessary) based on that log. Upload the configuration and DA tables here, and we can check your work.

So we're aiming for afr of 9 parts air to fuel under boost?

No, 11.0:1 is typically the AFR you're shooting for on pump gas. 9.0:1 would be extremely rich, and would net you terrible performance.

I would have to say, WBFactor, MAFRaw, RPM, AFREst, Wideband. I have a question, a _very_ irritating, newb question... When I open MY datalogs on my pc at home. How do I save my values viewed?? I can ADD them, and they work, but they disappear after I close the ECMLink app..

GST with PSI????
I was out getting some logs, and running errands, and I got into it with some sort of motorcycle... anyway it shut off on me. Got it into a parking lot, and the main 30amp fuse was blown. Well, I took the 30amp fuse from the head lights, put it in, and the fuse slowly started glowing, and popped. Every 30amp unit that was close to the Main system, I tried and it popped each one.. Anybody??

You've got a short to ground somewhere. Isolate the circuit and find it.

GST with PSI!!!!
I have a pretty good idea where to look. My battery's in the hatch. I'm going to take off the thicker wire running to the alternator. AND!!! like a dumb a$$, I used an official _racing_ tie wrap (white, 3/8" wide, 24+ inches, to secure a thick loom of wire, right near the passenger side axle. Ill know more Monday. Going to take the flatbed to scoop it up.

I'm getting "Zero" display of anything on the dash...starter doesn't even click...can that Main 30amp fuse, really!! be the cause?? none of the other fuses were burnt..

Thank You!
