After i replaced the oil line that popped out and dumped all my oil and refilled the oil i went to run the car and pedal to the metal car only goes about 5MPH tops (note: this is first time i have run this car and it has been sitting for 7+ months) i noticed black smoke coming out of the exhaust as well. Any helpfull insight as to what the problem may be would be great. I will try to answer any questions in the days to come the more i get to work on it.

I had this problem before... I gotta ask this question, is your MAS on the intake plugged in? When mine wasn't plugged all the way in I couldn't go anywhere, only 5 MPH and it bucked the whole time and shot out black smoke from running super rich.

The MAS; Mass Airflow Sensor, is the black oval box that connects the intake filter to the intake pipe. There is a plug on the side of it that faces the battery that needs to be pluged in. The MAS meteres how much air is coming into the engine and the ECU injects the proper amount of fuel for the air. That is why if you have a boost leak (which is after the MAS) the car will not run good or run how it's supposed to.

ok i checked the Mass Airflow Sensor and it is plugged in. I do not know if it is even good or not though. i took apart the intake tubes leading from the filter to the stock turbo and i found oil in the tubes. Buddy of mine says i may have a blown turbo or a cracked block. either way, it still dont move.

Not to long ago my car was doing the same thing. No matter what gear I was in or how hard I mashed the pedal I would barely go. Ended up being a shot Transmission. It was so bad I couldn't rebuild so I had to buy new. Hope this is not your problem, but thought I would share the info. Good Luck

Oil in the intake is probably just from the valve cover breather(second 3/8" hose from the mas on the intake tube, if all of the oil is on the turbo side of that, it's just oil from the breather. considering air flow direction i doubt it is from your turbo, but stranger things have happened.
Does the car rev and just not move? sounds like a tranny, check fluid?

what about if you're in neutral? Does the engine rev freely and sound healthy or does it stumble and miss?

when idling and in neutral the engine does run smoothly and sounds fairly healthy for still having some old gas in the tank.

the car will move but i have to mash the pedal down to the floor and it barely moves and black smoke comes out the exhaust and it smells extremely rich.

also i noticed all my lights in the dash do not work except for blinkers, high beam notification and rear defrost button light, could this be a fuse problem or do i need to replace it all? The car was left out in a freak rainstorm with all the windows and moon roof open so that may be the cause of the lights not working. If needing to be replaced how extensive of a project will that be?

check to make sure that all of your intercooler pipes are attached and tight. This is EXACTLY what happens to me when i blow an IC pipe off. You have some sort of vacuum leak somewhere ill bet. Check to make sure that the intake tube is actually on the turbo inlet, and the MAS is plugged in. Then check every hose clamp from the turbo pipe to the Throttle body.

battery is brand new so thats out of the question.

i have some pictures of the engine compartment, working to resize to post in my gallery. maybe they could give you all a little more insight as to whats going on.

Can I ask that you further detail the symptoms? It would also be helpful if you post your car's performance details on your account. It would help us diagnose this issue better if we knew exactly how it's running. What are your RPMs doing? Are they going up, or are they limiting at any point unusual? Are you having any troubles cranking the engine and getting it started? Any unusual sounds that the motor is making?

I've had a few problems like this. The first one was that my transmission was shot and clutch needed to be replaced. Another one quite similar was when I was upgrading my intake, and replaced the MAF backwards LOL!

yes the car has trouble starting up and just yesterday when i went to give it a little gas it bogged down pretty bad and stalled once. Im new to cars and all so i dont notice things i should notice and one of them is the RPMs but ill be sure to note it and post what i see when i have time to dink with the car some more. As for unusual sounds, no. My buddy is pretty proficient in motors and he says that it sounds healthy.

Boost leak, TCU, MAF sensor, or ECU is shot. Check all intercooler pipe connects and do a boost leak. Before you ask how, do a search. You can use the search function to find ALL the answers you need. Other than that man, do work.

You also need to recirculate your BOV (blow off valve) to your intake pipe. Or at least plug up the intake pipe before you suck something in there.

Also, I noticed you have a red manual boost controller, do you have a boost gauge as well? The settings might be too low and your bogging out because of too much fuel being added my trying to accelerate too hard.

After a major oil problem I would be pulling the intake pipe off the turbo to see how well it spins if it still spins at all while also checking shaft play. Your turbo very well maybe locked up from seizing the bearing (no oil) causing your chronic rich condition, Or you simply have a post turbo intercooler pipe thats poped off.

the intake is closed off at the point were it should be connected. i have a stock turbo, itty bitty thing, how high should i turn my boost up?

12 lbs will be fine. BUT, do you have a boost gauge? Otherwise, do not touch the boost controller.

Get on ebay, and buy a boost leak tester or make one yourself from home depot. Get or buy an air compressor, and do a boost leak test up to 20 lbs.
