98 GSX, does it have ABS and limited slip differential?

Hi...no time to search, I need to quickly find out if my 98 GSX has ABS and limited slip differential. Its an automatic. Someone wants to buy my car and I need to find out fast. Please respond and accept my thanks and apologies for not using search

Probably ABS

Unless you did the limited slip, it doesn't come stock with it.

Since you plan on selling the car and dont want to give wrong information I would make sure specifically for the vehicle. For abs go see if an abs light comes on for a sec on the dash when you start the car, and lsd take a quick look at the rear-differential to see if there is a lsd marking on it.

Open your driver door and look at the jam. If your car is LSD there will be a bright orange sticker that says this car is equiped with a viscous type LSD. As far as the ABS goes, check to see if the brake lines in your engine bay all run to a block behind the driver headlight. I have not seen a 2g turbo car yet without ABS but its a possibility.

Don't all AWD's have that? That sticker is because of the center differential. They want you to use a flatbed instead of towing the vehicle so you don't damage it.

I'm assuming he's talking about the rear differential. Jack up the rear of the car and turn one wheel clockwise. If the other wheel turns the opposite direction, you have LSD in the rear.

edit: Edmunds shows 4-wheel ABS and the Limited Slip being optional for 1998 GSX's. Check for the dash light for ABS and check for the wheel spinning for limited slip. Good luck.

No its for the rear. If you read the sentence on the sticker carefully you will notice is says for the rear axle.

I got the same bright orange sticker. its kinda hard not to miss it. .And about the ABS doesnt it also say ABS or SRS on your stearing wheel. could swarn it said it there but not sure i havent been in my car for a while .

SRS is the airbag. I have a 96 GST and I have no ABS.

I had a 95 GST and it doesnt have ABS equipped.
