hi again,
i was just wondering if anyone knows what parts i need to do the auto to manual swap on a 98 GSX? i havent been able to find a complete list anywhere, i get different kinds and numbers of parts depending on where i look, so any help would be great!
Thanks

The lists are everywhere. But here is what I needed.

Tranny
Clutch
Clutch and Brake Pedal
Master cylinder
Slave Cylinder
SS Clutch line (slowboy racing)
Shifter assembly
Shifter linkage
clips to hold shifter linkage
Rear roll-stopper bracket
New side mount and bracket (top of tranny)
Starter
Flywheel & bolts
Pressure plate bolts (10x1.25)
Misc bolts and nuts

My old axles worked.

I want to change mine over to auto ... pm me if you want to work out a trade for parts. Mine will be a drag race only car and a built auto seems like a better way to go for me.

Your best bet would be to sell the car and purchase yourself a used manual GSX. :thumb:

You'll endup spending more time and money from auto to manual conversion.

Thats BS I did the swap and its easy. Just get the parts rounded up and swap them out one at a time. I did a 6bolt swap at the same time no probs what so ever. The swap really isn't hard at all. Nothing is overly techinical or challenging.

Exactly what he said. If you are a good parts monkey you could do the swap for 600 or 700 bucks. Don't let anyone discourage you.
