98 gsx 300 bucks

Ok here is the run down. This car is for sale and the title of the thread speaks for itself. I just want some of your guys' opinions.

It's a 98 gsx clean title with 108k miles. Needs both front fender and spoiler. Hood is green and front bumper is oem primer. So definately the car will need a little paint job. The quarter panels need minor body work on both sides that isnt a problem for me. Needs a passenger side small rear window. Interior is completely stripped except for the center console and dash. Chasis wise the car is in perfect shape, never wrecked according to car fax. Has original gsx rims with nice tires on them. The guys bought a evo3 4g63t motor but took the head and turbo off it so all it has in the car is the short block and perfectly good transmission. Everything else on the car is fine. All electronics work properly. Only downfall is its automatic where is mine is 5speed.

Also comes with a full turboback 3inch apexi n1 exhaust.

I will be debating whether to part the car out and make money with it or dump a little money into to and get it on the road and use it for a beater; which is really what i was looking around for to begin with. All im asking is do u think it's worth it? i do but just wondering from u guys

300 bucks is cheaper then the exhaust itself,
its definatly worth it, but i say fix it up and have some fun with it,

if you feel like selling it later on do it, make a profit off of it

I would take it. I would either part it out or either sell it to some one that wants to do a awd swap. I'm getting a complete 95 gsx for 800 so good find

I think thts the guy's intetntion to begin with was to sell it to someone to do awd swap. but since i have my 99 gsx i would just fix it up for a beater. Gives me a break from my car

Yeah I would fix it up. Two cars are better than one and if one brakes down you got the other one so keep it

Take it. I've been looking forever around here for one and no luck. Like everyone else said grab it up and keep it for parts. you never know when your car is going to have problems.

Tell me the guys number so I can go pick it up... Seriously man you should have went and got it instead of putting that post up.. The bumpers on that car are worth more than 300 bucks. I would personally put it back together..

damn man great find. I found a gsx here for 600 obo no title automatic also. it sound alot like what you should of gotten before you posted this. but ni title it was going to be for a awd swap. I agree fix it up and down the road sell it for 10x what you paid.

Like everyone else stated, $300 for that car is a steal.
Whether you part it out or fix it up, you will be coming out way ahead on the deal.

I'd pay twice that much for that car if it were for sale around here.

I just picked up a really clean 1990 GSX with 130K on it (timing belt broke and valves met pistons) for $700 and I thought THAT was a steal.... a '98 with barely over 100k for $300?!?! Even if it needs some work, What are you waiting for?

run the vin any local law enforcement officer will call it in for you, hate to see someone get arrested for possession of stolen property. if it's not on the hot sheet hit the ATM grab cash and go get it.

300 bucks is really cheap..almost too cheap in my oppinion. I dont know it is cheap and VERY tempting but id be pretty pissed if i got it fixed it up got pulled over, for whatever reason, then the cops throw the cuffs on me because its stolen or something like that. If it seems to good to be true..in most cases it is
