98 gst no start

I'm having a bad problem right now don't know where to start this is my only transportation
So I finally got my car running drove it for a little while ran fine starter went bad changed it now ran into this problem car started after changing starter it died when I pressed the gas an would not start all it does is turn over fuel pump won't engage an I'm not getting any spark. I don't know where to start with this problem it started once I changed out my starter its not getting any fuel or spark if anybody know what the problem is plz let me know where to start or what to check thanks

check the mfi relay. its not getting power you won't get anything to work right. if that has no power, check the efi fuse. if thats good test to see if power is at the ecu. if it has no ecu, check the engine or ecu fuse. if thats good and has power look into the ecu. another issue is the crank sensor. if that is bad, you'll have no fuel pump or spark. that crank sensor turns the fuel pump on and sends spark signal

If the problem started after you changed the starter (worked around wires and sensors) and started the car once (vibrated the car), I would look in the vicinity you were working for broken wires, loose grounds, or sensors damaged or unclipped.

I have no power at the ecu the obd2 won't connect to it all the mpi and other sensors are good and the ecu has like a burnt glue smell to it

kinda fishy like smell? pull the ecu out and take it out of the box and get a picture of it. ecu may be fried

Yes it smells bad like burnt water and I'll get a picture an upload it

look at the capacitors. those will make it stop working. if theres any burn spots it sould be fried
