symptoms : I have a 96 eagle talon tsi with a 6 bolt swap and a 98 ecu. The swap is completed with the exception of the fact im not getting fuel into the cylinders. I have fuel at the rail, but the injectors themselves are not doing much if any. I can spray carb cleaner in the cylinders and it'll fire right up with no issues. It'll idle for 2-3 seconds and then it dies and wont start back up. This leaves me to believe the injectors are not firing.

Questions : With a 98 ecu, a 90 CAS, in a 96 car, which order should the injector trigger wires be in. Schematics and wire colors would be helpful in the situation. Thanks in advance.

the order of the wires shouldn't make a difference at this point in time... even if the injectors were in some totally screwed up order the car should still start and run it would just run crappy. has this car ran before with any combination ecu/engine/cas??? example 98 ecu with 96 engine or 96 ecu with 90 cas? sounds to me like there is something with either the wiring to the CAS or the CAS may be bad. either one of those problems will keep the ecu from firing the injectors...

This is what gets me, I installed my setup (CAS and ecu) in a friends car the other day,and it worked perfectly fine. And yes, my old 6 bolt swap ran on the same ecu and cas. So I ruled those 2 things out. So I suppose the trigger wires are not my issue. What else could possibly keep the injectors from firing other than the ecu and CAS?

Alright, its been awhile, but i finally got around to checking the resistance at the injectors. Their not getting voltage. I changed the resistor pack hoping it was just something simple, but that didnt help either. Is there something simple like a fuse or relay that could be blown that would have a direct effect on the injectors firing?

yes there should be a fuse... it has been so long sense i looked at it i am not positive if it is under dash or engine compartment. question... did you check for resistance and not get voltage:confused: the way you have it worded it is kind of confusing... when you checked the wires at the injectors how did you check them?

My bad on the wording, I unplugged the injector and used an ohm meter to measure resistance. From what I've read its supposed to be between 2 and 3 ohms.

then test the wires from the cas to the ecu, maybe you have an open wire some where.

or you could have installed the cas 180 out. its possible of that to if you were in a hurry puttin it on.

yes that is correct if you are checking the injector itself. if you are checking the wiring then you should be using a volt meter to be checking for Power to the injector... you will only get power on one wire and it wont be a full 12 volts (not sure off the top of my head how many volts but not 12V).... if you are using a multi meter between the two pins on the connector that goes on the injector then you wont get any voltage or resistance at all unless you are cranking the engine while you are checking...

if any thing it would be the wiring to the CAS or that you arent getting power to the injectors. if it were the fact that it was 180 out then the car would start, but it would just run like crap (as if it were running off two cylinders).
