97' tsi head gasket

how hard is it to change the head gasket on a 97 talon? how much for a new gasket ? thanks for you help

you can get a composite gasket for around 50 bucks , the multi layer steel gasket will run you around 100 changing it isn't really hard if your mechanically inclined... IMHO the worst part is the timing belt , i hate resetting all that stuff

what all do you have to reset? I am very mechanically inclined but most all I have worked on is SB chevy and such so please fill me in on every thing

And the mechanic recommends having the valves reworked. Well atleast the one I called.
