97 gst head on a 91 tsi???

Besides the fact that it flows less, will a 2g turbo head fit a 1g turbo? I know it seems like a newbie question but will i need any other hardware for this to fit? Im looking for a new head and a friends 2g just crankwalked and he is getting a brand new built engine so the head is mine for cheap. Im looking to get it and send it out to get rebuilt and put some hks cams in it.....also another friend of mine is getting into porting and has done a few heads lately and they are looking good, so whatcha think?

It will fit but aren't the 1G head bolts just a little bit bigger?
