2G 97 GST Automatic shifting funny.?

So had a few cel lights recently that I took care of with new IAC and Egr block and Taboo Vac delete. Now have a few nagging issues can't seem to figure out. (cel's gone except for frequently random P0400 "low Egr flow")

1. Tranny downshifts too soon from like third to say first when coming to a stop I'm about to get whiplash . Shifts hard into second gear. And Tranny can't decide which gear it wants to stay in from about 30mph - 50mph. Also when I give gas to speed up I practically have to nail it for the Tranny to downshift. (sluggish)

Another thing is when I drop into gear I hear a sound like a fuse shorting and sometimes almost stalls out. And when car first starts and I put into gear it takes awhile to drop into gear.

2. Is the P0400 "low Egr flow" I got after a long drive. I got this code only after I completed the Taboo Vac delete and Egr capped. (Im leaning towards Egr solenoid.)

More bothered by the Tranny situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

when was the tranny filter last changed???? Aside from the shifting funny does it ever shake or vibrate at any speed????

Just threw that egr code last night.When was the last time you have done your maintanance?Tune up includes timing job and transmission service, and check all fluids.

You should invest in a new trans filter and gasket from John at IPT (Import Performance Trans) only guy ill trust to work on my Mitsubishi trans. Then go for a flush and fresh fluid. If the problem persists contact John at IPT and he can give you advice from there!
