My current oem 98 front bumper is in terrible condition. It has a rip in and spider webs all over.

My question is, how good is the fitement of the ebay oem front bumper because i am thinking about replacing mine and I do not want to pay 500 bucks for the actual mitsubishi one. Thanks.

The ones from ebay are probably the same ones.

I've seen local guys here who say they got it on EBAY, and then those from certifit, and its the SAME THING!

Of course you are paying more for one or the other.

These are the ones shops use for INSURANCE JOBS!

They are perfect, by the untrained eye, hell even the trained eye you could not tell if its OEM or not. The biggest giveaway is the logo where the diamond star goes.

We just bought 2 from Certifit, they have a location here in Miami. It was $48 per bumper and the main difference I noticed with most Ebay 2gB bumpers is that it didn't have the triangle for the Mitsu logo...thank God.

I'm not sure what brand mine is but I know its an OEM aftermarket bumper since when I bought my car it was in an accident and had another bumper installed. Whoever the body shop that did it did an awesome job the paint is so glossy and smooth. But anyway besides that the fitment was good you won't be able to tell the difference.

I know the stock OEM bumper covers urethane is a different color, it like yellow. The one on my car is black which is cool because if you scratch the hell out of your bumper it won't be yellow.

As for quality, the urethane in my aftermarket bumper I have noticed is WEAKER than the stock OEM. I don't know by how much but I cracked my bumper on a parking island one time and it cracked and ripped the side mounts right out but of course thats my neglect/fault I guess. But I went to an automatic car was before a meet one time and it tore the other side mounts right out of the bolts. Now all that holding my bumper up is the upper bolts and a bunch of zip ties on the sides. So be warned its not as strong as the stock OEM bumper. Oh yeah this one doesn't have the triangle for the logo also.

Its the nicest piece on the car but I f#$%$# it up, but here's before I messed it up see lines up pretty well.

Most if not all aftermarket "OEM" comes from the same place. You could pay around $60 for a bumper if you find a good spot. But don't pay more than $100 unless it truly is OEM. I know there's a lot of spots in SJ.

$32.95 is what the certifit by me has it listed for!OMG and the fitment is near PERFECT! i would know, they get plenty of business from me..LOL if only they carried the 2gb rear bumper...

any addresses for these bumper shops? Just for future references =P, should check Craigslist also I see adds for these body parts warehouses all the time.

Also I remember I had an aftermarket fender on our neon from and accident before we got the car and I replaced it with a pick n pull OEM fender and I remember the aftermarket one was kinda thinner than the OEM one, just seemed more flimsy. Just something to think about when if you need any other kinds of body parts. Luckily fenders have some room for adjustment.
