ive looked over the threads and cant find anything like what im dealing with. hot or cold from idle if you race it up doesnt matter hard hard just any lil bit it has a hesitation.. it almost will die but only from idle.. ive tried everything i can think of. new iridium plugs new wires, new fuel fitler, new aire filter, checked for any vacum leaks. checked the iac, checked for build up in throttle body.. the only thing i havent done is check fuel pressure as i have no way to do so. i have no check engine light on. so im at a loss.. the only mods i have (if u can even call it a mod ) is a CAI and for now a cheesey fart can for an exhaust.. .. also my obd2 port doesnt seem to be working is there a fuse or relay for it? if so where is it? thanks in advance .

anyone have any ideas?? could it be a coolant temp sensor ? i had a dodge dakota that ran funny because of a bad coolant switch/sensor..

Did you try checking the coil? My old rs had the same problem and it turned out to be that. Just a thought. Do you have a multimeter?

I agree the coil, but it does get spark, so i would rule that out, because it is just hesitating... :aha: Start with checking your TPS sensor the resistance is between 3.5-6.5 ohms, check for ANY wiring messed with and can cause a intermit signal to that! Second, you said that you checked you IAC sensor? --------> wiring to that and the connector, there should be between 4.5-5 volts running through the signal and power anything else there is a short. I can go on with just anything else. Don't get me wrong, you could have a fuel problem with one of the injectors not firing and that can cause your hesitation... A coolant switch/sensor could cause a "NO START" and that is about it....make sure you do have spark and fuel, because air is given...anything else just let us know....:thumb:

....Yes, there is a fuse for the OBD2 connection were the smaller fuse panel under your dash by your feet...check that and then get a "OBD2 reader" to get any "FFT/FRT" about your air/fuel ratio...

Don't just rule it out just because it runs, it could be getting a weak spark, arching to places its not supposed to, etc.

Ruling things out without testing them is how you miss stuff.

yes i have a multi meter.. not sure what to look for though im an idiot when it comes to electrical.. i can figure most things out..

Run a can of sea foam through it!It'll make a world of difference:thumb:Dont dump it in the tank, suck it up slowly through the vac hose.Make sure you change the oil and filter when your done.I've seen that shit work many times!:D

i did notice that 1 of the posts that the spark plug wires go onto is rusty as to where the other 3 arent.. so now im thinking maybe it could be the coil. 1 being rusty would effect the energy travel through that 1 post. guess ill go get a coil any suggestions for a good aftermarket or should i just go back stock?

well, I wouldn't say not completely rule the coil out, but "def" check the coil and if you are going to replace it go with Factory. To your Code Problem it isn't necessarily going to throw a code, because it is may be working or Not or a high circuit short, So your ecu is still getting a signal within spec limit.

k so i changed the coil.. no difference.. new tps no difference. changed the coolant switch that controls the fans and boom.. back in business.. so i hope this helps someone who has a similar problem. thanks for all the help!!
