Just purchased yesterday and looking at getting it up and running. Currently missing the turbo. Quite a few things done to it, not 100% sure exactly, I'll let the pictures do the talking. Its a 1996 with 55,000 miles. These were posted in the newbie forum, but I figured it also makes sense to have them here as reference for the journey to get it back on the road.

I have a folder of papers I'm currently looking through. There are reciepts for purchases and tutorials on other things.

Receipt for a Bullseye T04B V-Trim Turbo
Pocketlogger
Stage 3 ECU Chip
Looks like its a SS/Autochrome FMIC based upon the files in the folder (Tutorial from here at DSMTuners)
K&N Filtercharger
1000cc Injectors from FIC (2007)
Aeromotive AFPR
1g BOV
Exhaust is aftermarket - not sure what kind -- Havent lifted car yet

I can get photos of the turbo as the turbo's exhaust blades are chewed up, intake blades are fine.

Guy has dyno sheets sitting at 270hp

I did get the back seat out as I was looking to get access to the fuel pump and start cleaning the gas tank, but I had to quit my endeavor. Anyone know what this red cable is for that's running here that's also on the battery? I checked the trunk to see if it continued as it looks like aftermarket speaker wire but there wasn't anything there. Guess I won't know for sure till I get the pump pulled.

More receipts more things uncovered.
Clutch - $300ish
Flywheel - Not sure what kind or brand, just a price of around $500ish

Clutch is stuck to the floor, so I guess when I get to that I'll take a look at the flywheel as well.

These prices are from 2007 and not recent.

Any recommendations on cleaning the gas tank? Would it be best to pull the pump and drop the whole tank and clean it out, or just look for a new one? I'd say there's about 1/4 tank of gas in there that's been sitting for 8 years.

So a gas tank is empty. I have the blown turbo and I pulled off the valve cover to see if by any chance the cams were aftermarket.

Can anyone identify this turbo as there aren't any serials or markings on it. And is there any input on the camshaft? I'm pretty sure they are stock. It does also have a walbro gss342.

Stage 3 ECU that hooks up to DSMLink was also in the car. Seems to have everything needed to build it bigger. Getting more and more excited to get this thing going.

Stage 3 to dsmlink? What does that mean? Version 3 ecmlink chip?

All I know is that I have a receipt that states its a stage 3 ecu. I have dyno sheets and receipts stating it was hooked to DSMLink. So I downloaded the newest software for ECM/DSMLink. I have to run it on v1/v2 DSMLink and not v3 ECMLink to get it to connect. So, I'm unsure if the actual ECU is v1 or v2, just that again, the receipt states its a stage 3. Not sure of what makes it different?

Turbo looks to be an old school Bullseye turbo 50-trim. Also cams should have markings on the cam itself, hard to tell from this distance.
Thank you for that, that would follow the receipt then stating it was a Bullseye Turbo V-trim, appreciate the confirmation.

As a far as the cams go, where would the markings be? Pretty easy to see or locate? I'm almost certain they are stock, they do have a K with 3 dots in the shape of a triangle on them and numbers 511241023 on the end.

Pull the ecu and find out what you have. Likely v2.
I questioned it because nothing "hooks up" to ecmlink and "stage xx" is generally meaningless when it comes to mods.

sounds like stock cams. aftermarket cams have markings either and the end of the camshaft or where you can put a wrench on it, between 1st and 2nd cyl.
Also what cable did it come with for your ecu, if you have it? I think we can tell from that but more definite would be open the ECU and see what it shows on the chip like Paul mentioned above.

Using the OBDII port with the adapter it came with, it hooked up to my laptop using ECMLink, but using DSMLink v1/v2 option in the software. I knew that it would work because the receipt from the Dyno stated it used DSMLink for the tune. I hope I'm making sense, because I feel like I'm not using the right terms here.

Here is the cable. It's USB-a to USB-b then to a serial to USB adapter to serial to OBDII.

At some point betting the car had an aftermarket "stage 3"chip...whatever that meant at the time. Now it has ecmlink. If you look at the receipt it may shed light. Probably doesn't matter at this point.
Yeah, the receipt just stated stage 3, I think you're right in the conclusion that it doesn't really matter. Just been doing as much research and racking my brain as much as possible to figure out what turbo to go. Now that I know it had the V-Trim in it, and with all the mods it has, it's made it more confusing.

So, I have a Walbro GSS342 which is the 255LPH fuel pump, can the stock hanger handle this? From what I understand it really can't handle the full 255LPH? What should I upgrade the hanger to if at all to compensate for this?

Or am I mistaken?

Yeah that cable is not a V3 cable, but open up ECU.
DSMTuners has a wealth of how to for fuel pumps... These DSM fuel hangers is capable to hold alot of flow. The restriction with be your fuel lines, feed and return. Just out the fuel pump install guides for more info.
I have a 450 fuel pump with -6an Lines that hold my 500hp talon no problem.

So, I am on the fence of what route to go and if I'll need to do any further upgrades to reach the 300 whp range with a 20g and FP Manifold going from the stock manifold and V-Trim. With everything in it already, is the goal of 300-400 obtainable, or am I looking at further upgrades such as better internals? Looking to pull the trigger on these two items but am unsure of where and what I can expect with current setup.

Thanks to @dacowgod for the new turbo. Looking to install it in the next week or so. Also great support from Rix Racing. Highly recommend
