Hello
I have looked , and can't seem to find very much info on replacing the wiring harness . I was wondering if anyone has done it , the best way to go about it , any tips you can give me , i know where the ecu it .
I bought the car 7 years ago ,,,, what a nightmare ,It has been sitting in my garage for 5 years , after the motor locked up. The guy that had it before did sooo many wrong things to the car , gsx flywheel , modded the trans to make the starter get on the flywheel , 1g block with a 2g head " he says to was a EVO head " unlikely ,cracked the head when drilling to work with 1g block, wrong bolts on the trans to block = crank walk , hacked the wiring harness = I cant find the knock sensor wiring . I had the motor and trans out of it fixing these issue's with in the first 2 weeks of having it .
I would like to get the car back on the road. My 19 year old son " that just joined the Navy " wants the car , But i don't want to give it to him in peaces. Any help is very much appreciate , If your near Hudson fl i would buy you a beer from the help

Step 1 is to buy a factory service manual.

The engine harness starts at the alternator and works it's way back to the fuse box, then over the intake manifold, then goes into the interior under the battery tray to the ECU by the driver's side kick panel

It's impossible to just tell you one step, it's just one piece so start taking it out

thanks, do i have to remove the dash ? to run the wiring harness ?

you only need to pull the dash to remove the B harness and C harness.

C harness is attached to underside of the dash.
B harness is attached to the metal cross beam that the dash sits on.

If your swapping harnesses and your car has keyless entry/anti-theft , make sure the replacement harness came off a car that also has keyless entry/anti-theft.
