96 AWD Talon, worth it?

Quick question. I have been out of the DSM scene since 2007. Dying to get back in! I have found a 96 awd talon, white, original body, engine stock at
180k miles, stock grey leather that looks brand new along with clean carpet, 5 speed. This is the cleanest dsm that I have seen in my area in quite sometime.
Asking price is 4800. Is this reasonable given a 100% stock, super clean awd?

Depends really. That price isn't bad but you will need to have enough money to rebuild that engine soon.

I think that asking price is a bit high IMO. Not only because it has 180k miles but because it's a 2GA talon and we all know 2gb are worth more by far.

I'd say around 3500-4000 would be decent. Just remember you might have to do a rebuild soon.

I wouldnt pay that much for one with 180k on it, simply. Ive seen some decently built awds for cheaper than that if not the same price.

Yeah, I was counting on a rebuild soon. It has 30k miles on tranny rebuild. Finding these cars in my area that are clean and stock is almost impossible!

I was in the same boat as you when I bought my gsx. I probably over-payed, but my thinking was how many low-mileage 100% stock 1-owner gsx's would I be able to find in my area? I may have payed a little more than I wanted to, but now I have a really great car that I never want to get rid of! I'm happy with my decision and I will never look back.

$4k is about as high as i would go. It is good that it is unmodified. Has it been sitting around long?
