Will a 4G63T from a '96 Talon Tsi AWD fit into my '91 Eclipse 1.8? I know I need the transmission, motor (duh), and computer, but do i need the wiring harness also? Just tell me IF it will fit and I'll be happy. Anyways, anything I might need to do the swap, maybe someone with a little bit more experience can give me a heads up... Thanks!

uhm no such thing as a 2g 4g63t. Any how sure you can fit a 2g motor into a 1g, but its going to be some work.

1.First off a engine mount will have to be changed on the driver side.
2.Your going to need the ecu, so thats alot rewiring, unless you use the 2g wire harness, then you'll still have alot of rewiring not as much.
3.The 2g tranny will not work in a 1g, the mounts are diffrent on them so you will need to get another tranny, (i don't know if you can use a 1.8 tranny either)
4.converting from NA to turbo is alot of work
5.Your still going to have to worry about reliableness of your 2g.

Im thinking your best bet is to buy a Cyclone motor swap. Should have everything you need with a little less hassle for under $1500
Good luck

What do you call the engine in your car then?

Steve

ah 4g63  what other 4g63's came out of a 2g?
If you want to call it a 4g63t so be it, I guess it doesn't matter, I understand. Any how I only usaully hear "4g63t" refered to cyclone motors and 1gs since there are N/A, and 4g63 turbos.

I would never put a 2g crankwalk proned motor into a 1g. Way to much work a waste of time. Get a JDM or remanned 6bolt motor!!!!!!!! then it is a straight up swap except if you use the JDM i have heard that the cyclone intake manifold will not work with stock wiring... Good luck and as always have fun w/ your DSM!!!!!!!!! :dsm:
