can you fit a 1g 4g63t into a 2g 96 n/t eclipse

i have been doing research for a wile but i have yet to find a clear answer can you swap a 1g 4g63t from the 90-94 gsx/gs-t into a non turbo 2g 96 eclipse my issue is that i have the 420a motor in my car now and have allready had to replace it once and now have to replace it once more. the first one threw a rod right through the block and if i had been driving just a few more mins this new motor sounds as if it is going to do the same thing. i have been considering just buying a newer gsx or gst but money is tight.so i just wanted some imput on what u guys think.can you put a 4g63t into where a 420a mot0r once was since im sure the motor mounts are dif and the trans is on the oppisit side of the motor.Also i can only find 1g 4g63t's with awd trannys and my car is fwd and i know that would present a problem i just want to know if the swap is worth it or is it possable or should i just buy a new dsm remember money is tight so i need to know the best way to get it done for the $$ so i can get my car on the road for more then 2 months at a time if the swap can be done please let me know and how to do it thanx P.S. the 420a motor is the most crappy motor i have seen very dissapointing that mitsu would event put that motor in there cars

first off yes u can do a 4g63t swap into it.......will it be easy no, as u already know u have to change the motor mounts.....u also have to get a new computer,wiring harness and all other parts from a 1g and also some aftermarket parts......u will probably end up spending around 4-7000 to get all the parts and it installed and working right.....ud honestly be better off just buying a 1g dsm of some sort and sticking money into that...but these r just my opinions

As he ^^^ said... will it fit, yes... will it be easy... no....

now a question for you... do you have the motor you want to put in? The AWD tranny isn't a problem, there's things that can be done to make them work on FWD cars...

The answer to your question though - no, probably not worth it to do the swap... what I would do (if you have some space) is look for a GS-T or GSX that's been wrecked... because that's the only way you're going to find all the parts you need for the swap at a reasonable cost to you... otherwise sellilng your NA and buying a turbo car isn't a bad idea, and most likely will be cheaper than trying to do the motor swap...

yea thats kinda what i though im prob just going to sell my current car for parts and just get a newer dsm that seems like the best solution anyway since i allready spent 3,000 to get my first motor replaced but whaca gonna do heh!
