95 tsi lacking power and fuel mileage

ive got a 95 tsi awd
it runs well, but honestly feels like its missing power, and my mileage is down considerably from what ive read on the forum, im averaging just 360-380 KMS per 40 LITRE tank, and just doesnt have the get up and go, it seems like it wants to haul ass, but jjust isnt, i did the front o2 sensor and it fixed the problem slightly, increased milage decreased some of the power loss, do i have a possible boost leak? or maybe even a plugged cat? any tips or thoughts are greatlt appreciated!

Try doing a boost leak test and what kind of plugs/wires do u have?

I had the same problem once and it turned out just to be poor fuel... Not sure if that the problem here or not

i agree, mostly everyone says start with a boost leak test and go from there. and its not expensive to get it done some where either.

Why the heck would you have someone else do your boost leak test?? It costs all of $12 to make a tester, then you just need to go find a gas station with a free air compressor and a long hose. I guess I am spoiled though... I have a compressor.

thanks, and yes i realize the blt is one of the very first steps! however i just wanted to find out if anyone else had input as to wether my issue may be something totally unrelated to the boost. thanks though, and to Dsm Rob, i have NGK plugs and unsure of the wire brand but they are 10.2mm wires
i will do a blt and let you know my outcome, thanks again
