2G 95 to 99 engine swap

So I have a spare 95 eclipse engine. I just got a 99 eclipse with a bad motor. I been trying to find how this works. i know its pretty much the same except the CAS. I have read several different things about this. i see it says either it needs to be rewired in or the cam needs to be pulled from the 99 and put into my 95. Everything i have read seems real confusing to me and was wondering if someone could help me clear this up and make sense of it for me.

do both ways work and have the same outcome?

I believe it's the same connector, just in a different spot. 95-96 on the front of the head 97-99 located on the rear of the head.

You have a couple options, you will either need to use the 2gb intake cam and sensor or wire the 2ga cam sensor into the 2gb plug.

Oh okay. so i can just swap the engine in and just wire it up. kinda like doing a 6 bolt swap with the CAS but in reverse?

Are you running dsmlink or going to? Running 2ga ecu or 2gb ecu?
It is basically similar in the same sense, the cas signal will now be inverted. If you match the ecu to the cas (ie 2ga cas with 2ga ecu or 2gb cas with 2gb ecu) the signal will not be inverted.

im not running dsmlink, but it will the 2gb ecu. everything is going to be 2gb except the long block.
