'95 talon sputtering at idle.

Here is the issue, my fiancée has a '95 eagle talon. I believe it is just the base model, there is no turbo any of that. It recently has had an intermittent problem when at idle it sputters and shakes pretty bad and then sometimes its fine. It's only at idle and not when driving. It's hard for me to diagnose because I have never actually been there when it's done it, I just hear about it. Has anyone had a similar issue? My best guess would be fuel or ignition related...Sorry I don't have more information but that's the best I can do unless it starts acting up with me in the car. Thanks in advance.

Check the gaps on the plugs.

I own a 95 Eclipse Non turbo as well..had the same problem

first you wanna check you plugs and wires..easy fix if there is a fouled up plug, then move on to vaccum leaks, such as you intake manifold gasket could be worn out and leaking(which was my problem) that will definatly cause idle problems among other things(clogged fuel injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, etc...)
