2G 95 gsx shell rebuild

so im new to the platform and cars all together, got a 95 gsx shell as a project with a 6 bolt short block. but i cant find all the awd parts i need for the car. would 2g fwd parts bolt up no problem? if not what needs to be changed. thank you guys for any answers

You sound like you're about to embark on a treasure hunt without knowing the list of treasures to look for, or any knowledge on how the treasure fits together.

It really depends what you're talking about. The valve cover is interchangeable, as are the seats. Rear axles are going to be tough to source from a FWD car, as is the AWD transmission and transfer case. Your question is too vague.

yes thats all i have, sorry i didnt explain better. all the car has is a 6bolt and wheels.

Driveshaft
Front and rear axles
Transmission
Transfer case
Rear diff
Not sure if you have a flywheel but you’ll need a 6 bolt flywheel, clutch, correct starter plate and starter.
Does the shell have a gas tank? You’ll need an awd gas tank as well

my question is, if i cant source the awd parts, could fwd parts bolt up? assuming i had all the peices for fwd. the shell does have a gas tank it has everything except transmission and drive train. Thank you a lot!

Yes. You can run a Fwd transmission. I believe the axle are different for fwd but don’t quote me on that.
Forgot to mention the awd transmission output shaft must match the input to the tcase.

A picture or two would give a better idea of how stripped down your rolling chassis is.

You will also need the correct awd exhaust as the fwd exhaust will not clear the t-case location. Also, you will need the proper fwd axles if you put a fwd transmission in for now. The axles are quite different between them.

The passenger motor mount is different between auto and manual. The axles are are different as well, however I have used manual axles in a auto. If you dont have a drivetrain, then fwd setup would be easier to source.
