Hello everyone,

I just bought a 95 gst and i went to install a thermo in today.. And it doesnt fit. I used the rubbed gasket and it was too small still. So i went and bought a different thermo abd it was way too large.. Covered the bolt holes in the housing. Im at a complete loss.. I have a picture of my housing.. It has this weird hook in it.. I assumed its for a gasket to lock in place.

Sadly, i took my thermos back to orilleys.. Does anyone have a correct part number for my thermostat? Picture of the correct thermo and gasket? I really need some help.. Thanks a bunch!!

That isn't a 2G thermostat housing which would explain why the correct thermostat for your car doesn't fit your engine. Looks like a 1G-esque thermostat housing so it may be worth your time trying one of those.

Thank you very much. Ill go get a 1g thermostat. Let me ask then, how do i identify if my motor is a 2g 4g63 or if they put a 1st gen in? Also, do i buy radiator hoses for a 1g as well?
