95 Eclipse GST

My first car: a 95 Eclipse GST

At the time I didn't knew it, but the car had energy bushings on the back

And they were done done, they made a horrible noise on all bumps, so I bought a new kit and installed all bushings on the rear, I thought the kit was going to include ALL bushings but some are missing, for example

Alongside that, I also bought the silicone radiator hoses and an aluminum radiator

And that was like the preparation for a small track event, I also wanted to upgrade brakes but the parts didn't arrive on time.

Here are some pics of the event

I enjoyed a lot the experience, thankfully the car didn't overheat or presented problems. The only thing was the brakes fading, but that was to be expected

As mentioned before, on the track the brakes faded a bit so I thought of changing the brake fluid.
When doing that I started loosening the front bleed ports, and when I was at the last one at the back, it broke. And i did the dumbest thing after that, trying to take it off using an extractor. It didn't work and I weaken the bleed port. So thanks to that I ruined a rear caliper, and I wasn't feeling as replacing just one. So I thought of changing for another set of rear calipers since I was going to do the same on the front.

On the front I'll be putting the 05 outlander double piston set. In here I was making sure it didn't hit the rims

Previously I was going to put the VR4 front 4 piston brakes from a friend, but that was hitting with my rims and I can't put a spacers since the fitment is already on point.

I also tried with some evo brakes my friend has and that also didn't work.

So on the rear I started looking for mitsubishi models and I came across the montero rear brakes. I think some new models are also using those ones.

As far as I know no one has put those brakes on a DSM, and later I found why
The very first thing you have to modify is the bolt size, it goes up from 12 to 14 (or 10 to 12 I don't remember but it goes up a size)
And in here I was testing how it looked

In there I realized I had to trim down a little bit this piece

And later found a lot of things I had to do to make it work, from fabricating custom lines to modify a lot the bases, I thought of doing a write up on how to do it, but I don't think it's worth the hassle
In here you can see the brakes with a set of VR4 rear rotors
