95 aftermarket cam gear question with CAS

So I recently picked up a cheap set of gears for 50 bucks. I know I dont need it but it was a good deal. They are obx. I have a 95 talon and the CAS is under the intake gear. I know OEM gear has a ridge for the CAS. Can I somehow move that ridge to my new gear. I dont want to use a different CAS, I would rather use what I have. Is this possible? Anyone else do what im doing. Please share your experience.

There's actually a trigger plate bolted to the back of the stock intake cam gear. I purchased a set of fidanza adj cam gears and they had the bolt holes tapped in the back to move the plate over. So check for those holes in the back of the new intake cam gears. if they have them, then they should work.

They dont have them. I could probably move it over but it has to be perfect.

Yeah, I've seen some people just run the adj exhaust cam and leave the intake stock. I think that's your only option aside from switching to the 6 bolt style cas

You could post a 'wanted to trade' ad for a set with the tapped holes for the 95 style CAS. They look like this:
