94 Eagle Talon clutch

so i'm looking at buying a 94 eagle talon. The clutch goes all the way down and does not return. im looking for a summer project and i'm not familiar with clutch work. its only $200 so can anyone tell me whats going?

sounds like a leak in the line or its out of fluid.... check that there is fluid then from there check for leaks... check back with results

Is it a 1.8n/a 2.0n/a or 2.0T? Could be crankwalked or it could be the clutch slave/master cylinder. Hows the body and interior? Anyways $200 is still good even for a shell. Can you post any pictures of it?

its a 94 2.0 non turbo. sorry no pics at the moment and the slave cylinder is not moving. car does not have crankwalk either

if the slave isn't moving and the master is full of fluid then the master is shot.

Have a friend push the clutch as you observe the slave cylinder. More then likly the Master is shot. Easy to replace.

ok yes I had a friend look as i pushed down and it didnt move at all. Im familiar with engine work just not tranny. so the clutch master cylinder would most likey be shot and needed to be replaced? since the fluid is full and not leaking

yes if the fluid is full and there is no leaks then the master is shot. the seals inside are blown so its not moving any fluid.

ok thank you . I think im going to buy it and give it a shot. Im good with engines just not transmissions. so ill drop the 200 and get a project car

Ok guys got the talon on the road paid 150 for it put a new fuel pump in and put the gas tank back in and it started the same day haha the people before me spent over 7k for this car at fast finance in midland mich got 10k miles before it took a dump......Also replaced the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder and bingo had a working clutch again.
