just picked this up traded my stock 92 civic hatchback for it and the ignition module was bad. went to the parts store and they wanted 150 bucks for it. damm thats pricey from moving from a honda to a DSM. but its running good now. and advice what i should do to it. i want to keep it stock looking clean and smooth on the outside but a beast on the inside. i have a turbonetics 57 trim that i was going to put on my other honda but man its tempting to put it on this car. one more question the car is black and i was woundering what style wheel looks best on the car and how big? any advice will be great............

Look through the gallery for different rims and how they look. Before you start modifying that thing, check up on the maintenance. You will be pissed if that thing starts knocking or snaps a timing belt. Go over everything.

As stated above, do all the maintenance, everything, if you don't know when it was done or it looks old replace it. Then you will have a good platform to start with, wheel wise I've always liked the Evo viii wheels on our cars but that's just me. Oh yeah I almost forgot welcome to the dsm community and to dsmtuners. If you have any questions your welcome to send me a pm.

alright i did the oil change want to do the rear diff, t case, and tranny but what fluids do you guys suggest i should use? are the timing belts common to snap in these cars?

+1 to everything above. Maintance is key when modding a dsm and maintaining that power.

If you have the money go all oem components for all the maintenance issues. Mitsu put thousands of hours into R&D with these components, very few ever complain about oem components. Heard good things about gates timing belt, hks is expensive but purdy

I would change:
Timing belt
Spark plugs
Wires
Water Pump
Timing components

If you check out the vendor section, many of them have oem timing belt/component kits and if you do your research there are some great deals you can take advantage of:thumb::thumb:.

check the condition of all your axles.

goodluck

I used OEM Mitsubishi Diaqueen tranny fluid for my transmission. They use it in the EVO's, it was like 8 bucks a quart. For the transfer case I used Redline heavy shockproof gear oil. I would use the same in the rear end, but I havent done that.

Redline Shockproof in the Transfer Box, and Rear Diff.
BG Syncroshift in the tranny or GM Syncromesh
Definently do the timing belt if you dont have a receipt for the belt and install. You never know when it was last done and it is much cheaper than having a head rebuilt and doing a new timing belt.
