I have a 93 2.3L in my 98 Talon with a 1g head. I have the Cam Sensor wired into the Crank Sensor harness correctly I am pretty sure. Did it just like the picture from RRE says. RRE Instructions
Almost everything in the car was new since my last motor failure was a catastrophe. All sensors are new and as far as I can see everything is hooked up correctly. Now to my problem. The car will crank and half start and go to a high 1500 rpm for about 1 second then come right back down and die. If I hold the gas about 1/2 throttle it will stay running insanely rough. If I push a little farther though it shoots up to about 4-5k and runs smooth. I can let about to about 1/4 throttle and it will hold 4-5k no misfire or anything. Now here is the really weird part. It doesn't really matter what firing order I have or even if I flip the CAS 180 out the car still does the exact same thing. The timing is perfect on it because when I let out of the gas when it is revving really high it pulls about 20inHg and I check it after every startup. Any insight into the problem would be much appreciated. Thanks!

boost leak would be a huge thing, do the boost leak test and listen for air make sure everything is connected like the wastegate and bov. I know you thought of those, but wouldn't hurt, how about the o2 sensors?
