So i picked up a 91 gsx from a guy that had the head tore off it when i got it. So i pulled the motor the rest of the way out and went through it by honing it and putting in new rod bearing and rings. Got it all back together and found that its very hard to get it started. Once it is running i took it out and if you try to lean into the boost its like its hitting fuel cut. and if you just stay out of the boost and light throttle it wont rev past 3500. At the time i found out the the cam angle sensor was 180 degrees off so i turned it around right by lining up the dowel on the cam gear straight up and setting the mark on the cas to the front with the notch in cas housing. And its doint the exact same thing. So would this be that the cas is bad. After ir runs for a bit and dies it is impossible to get it fired back up, so i have to let it sit for like an hour or so and then its just hard to get fired back up again but it fires. What else would cause this?
Oh and all it has done to it ARP head studs, egr blockoff, and eliminated balance shafts. also tried another MAF and get the same results. Also this is the exact same problem the guy before me had with it as well.
