91 gsx auto. Changing to 5-speed. What tranny's can I use?

Well basically what the topic asks. I am new to the dsm world and am very excited. I know some about them, probably more than you average newb, but I dunno. I am lucky and have come across a 91 eclipse gsx automatic. The transmission is screwed up right now, which is perfectly fine with me since I am gonna do a 5-speed conversion anyways. Just means that I can get the car cheaper. . But anyways... I was wondering if I could just use any eclipse or talon tranny, or would I have to find another gsx or tsi that is 5 speed and use that tranny. Also what else would I need to complete the swap. I know I am gonna need the clutch pedal assembly, shift linkage, 5-speed ecu (maybe?). But what about the transfer case and stuff like that. Will I be able to use the automatics? Or will I have to get all that crap from a gsx or talon also? Or will I just be able to use a 5-speed tranny? Sorry if this question has been asked 1,001 times. I did look around a little though.

Your best bet is to find a Manual AWD with a blown engine. That way you can grab the clutch assembly, transmission, rear-end, etc. You'll need a manual transmission from an AWD including the manual transfer case, and the rear end from the manual car (Automatics and Manuals have different gear ratio's).
