Hello everyone,,
Can someone tell me where the fuel pump test lead (in engine bay) junctions with the lead from the relay?,at the relay or somewhere else?

I am trying to test flow and flush fuel lines after a long hibernation and replacement of fuel pump, cleaning tank and replacing timing belts, idler pulleys, etc. I have no power (12v) to black/white wire at fuel pump connector in trunk area when jumpered to battery positive. Ohmeter shows the lead is shorted to ground

I plan on removing console to access relay and troubleshoot, but it would help if anyone knew approx. location of this junction.

Thanks.

ITs not that bad but it sounds like you may want to pull everything out and track down a bad ground check, the ecu grounds, it gives power to the ecu.

Test flow and flush lines, mmm it first you need to power the pump up. Are your lines clogged up i wouldnt think they would be unless, you go e 85. Check the ecu,

so you check at the fuel pump connector when you found the short? did you unplug the c-59 connector first,?
If not i would unplug it and check for the short at pin 6 (black/white wire) on both ends of the connector. that way you'll know if the short is between the mpi relay and c-59 or between c-59 and the fuel pump connector.
then to fix it, instead of having to open the harness up, it may be easier to just cut the shorted wire close to the connectors and splice in a new wire .
