ok so i think i crushed my stock water/oil cooler on my car and i want to swap an external oil cooler. my question is about this oil filter housing from Mach V http://machv.com/exoilcoolfil.html im not familar with this setup but will it have a place for my relocated turbo feed line (to the oil filter housing) to tap in to??? any of you have experience with this housing from mach v??? where can i buy an air/oil cooler at?? thanks in advance..

Yes, you can tap in a turbo oil feed line. You can buy a oil cooler with -an fittings from any big speed shop (Jegs, Summit, etc.). You'll need to buy the metric to -an adapters that Mach V sells. If you want to be real cheap, do what I did and pull the entire setup (oil cooler and oil filter housing) out of a junked '90 and buy four of the adapters along with the necessary -an hose equipment. Just make sure you flush out the cooler to get the old gunk out of it before you hook it up to your nice shiny engine.

very easy swap. just go to the junk yard and get a oil cooler off another car that doesnt require any fittings on the ends. get to push lock style fittings for the end of the oil cooler. then go to the store and buy transmission cooler lines...

does anyone know where i can get this 90 style housing besides mach v??

ok so i got my cooler and oil filter housing. my next question is should i use rtv on the gasket for the oil filter housing to the block??

When I rebuilt my 6-bolt I used a slight amount just enough to tack it to the filter housing and installed it. So far it has been over a year and the kid that has it now beats the daylights out of it, so far so good that I know of. Just don't go crazy with the stuff.
