General 90 ECU work in a 91 car?

Hi, I was working on my brother in law's 91 awd talon, the car had no spark and we checked everything there was to check and turned out that the ecu was bad. So the question is I have a 90 eclipse gst, would my computer work on his car, or what other year would work, Thanks.

Yes. swap pins 6 and 14 and it will work fine. if you put his ecu in yours you ahve to swap pins 6 and 14 as well but your tach will act up at high throttle becasue of the signalling from your 1990 ignition system.
