Hey everyone im havin trouble, and readin the other forums wasn't helpin me none. heres the thing. My 1990 Eclipse GST one day just stopped running, it always had a problem starting like it would crank over and over and over untill it finally started. that was the cold starts usually in the mornings. now one day i drive it to the smog station to get smogged and just as the guys about to pull the car in to do it, it wont start... and it hasnt started ever since and that was about a month or so ago. So i had some time and looked at some things and i have good fuel pressure, good spark plugs and wires, compression, it cranks and everything. it just wont start!!!!!! i dont know why!!! can any one help me out. my boss thinks it might be my CPS ( crank shaft posistion sensor ) but he's just gon by what ive told him he never looked at it himself. so if any one could help me out i really gotta get the thing runnin or else theyre gunna tow it somewhere and i cant afford that crap and i dont want the hassle. Some one who knows what they're talkin about pleeeaase help me out!!

no i haven't thats a good idea ill do that. any other suggestions just incase that aint it?

A faulty coolant temp sensor will cause some cold start problems. I am not sure how to test it though. Do you know anyone else with a 90? You could try swapping ECUs if you do. Coilpack good? Even though you have good fuel pressure are you getting fuel into the cylinders?

yea i replaced the coolant temp sensor. and yea im pretty sure im gettin fuel in the cylinders. the injectors work and everything. but i was wonderin does anyone know how to check if the cylinders are flooded and if they are how to empty them...

You'll know when your Crankcase starts filling with GAS - Suddenly it looks like you have 8 Quarts of Oil in there - Don't do like I did & use your Shop Vac & a pipe to suck the Combustion Chambers dry - It makes a nice FLAME THROWER out of your Shop Vac - NOT COOL !
