Want info on what to do.. I just bought a second dsm with a spun bearing *95 gsx* and want to know the best option. Car has 80,000 original miles , does run N is completely stock.

1. - Put a 6 bolt in it and sell it?
2. - Rebuild the 7 bolt and sell it?
3. - Pull the tranny, Put it in my 97 gsx *profile* , then sell my car? (putting built tranny in the 95 gsx and building it to a 11 sec car?)

Any opinions will be appreciated THANKS :dsm:

I personally would put 6 bolt in, and sell it.

Why wouldnt you just keep it however? Im sure you 97 is nicer than the 95 anywho..

It all really depends on your plans, I personally would keep the 97, and if you want to modd the hell out of the engine on the 95 to turn it into an 11 sec car then go with a 6 bolt swap, if you are just planning on selling it then go with which ever is cheaper; 6 bolt drop-in or 7 bolt rebuild.

First thing you need to do is find out if the ECU in the 95 is an Eprom.
In case you don't have this link, this can help you determine if the 95 ECU you have is an Eprom.

Then, let us know what you find out...

The car was bought for 2g and i was looking to sell my car to get ahead of the game so i can mod the car to what i want instead of putting more and more into mine. There are many options i wanna go with but im leading to rebuilding the 7 bolt and selling it or like you say whichever is cheaper.. I would like to do the 6 bolt swap but the least i do the more i make.. Thanks guys
