2G 7 bolt main on 6 bolt lower end

hello i just bought a 1996 talon tsi awd today and i wanted to go with a 6 bolt main in it. but the person who i got it off of said he had 800$ in the head got it port polished and titanium valves and double valve springs. can i put that head on a 6bolt main i have. also i was wondering what turbo i should upgrade too
