7 Bolt in a 91 GSX!?!? Help!

Hey guys, kinda new to the dsm thing, but know a good bit about turbos and engine mechanics, But I have a big question. I Have a 95 TSI Fwd that has been wrecked, and it has a 7 bolt in it that is in very decent shape. I also just ran across a nice 91 GSX that is perfect but the motor. Is it worth the trouble and money to downgrade the 6 bolt in the car to a 7 bolt. Both of the cars are 5 speeds. Is the AWD tranny gonna be a problem or will I need some stuff. IF so can anyone forward me a link on some directions and maybe a parts list I will need that would be excellent!! Thanks guys any info would help greatly!

The motor will fit but the tranny will not in the 1st gen. You sell the awd 2g tranny and get a 1g tranny.

I think he was talking about bolting up his 7 bolt engine into the first gen and re using the 1G AWD tranny. Eitherway it will be a very difficult if not impossible swap. The 2g uses different motor mounts and sensors. Most of the sensors you could probably leave unpluged but you will have to have the coil pack, ignition contro module, cam angle sensor, and tps out of the 91. I would just recommend using the cylinder head and intake manifold off of the 91. I am also not sure whatdifferences there are with the oil filter housing either. Oh and you will have to use an adaptor so that you can use the turbo oil feed off of your oil filter housing to use the 14b, or you can get an aftermarket IC so that you can still use the t25(why?). YOu may also run into other problems but I will let a more experienced person help you out with that.
