plugged everything right up and when i start the car it shoots right at 6000 rpm i checked for air leaks changed the tps iac valve and make sure my throttle cable wasn't too tight my engine is in time and still the same thing and i dont have a check engine light I'm lost guys please advice i wanna get this ride going.

Take your intake pipe off and check the throttles position. Make sure it's not stuck open for some reason. Your tps could be out of adjustment or put in wrong. Your sure you got all the plugs in the correct places. Maybe the tps if switched with somthing?

I did the throttle position is closed. and can the the tps be on the eclipse be adjusted ? if so how?

Where did you check your throttle cable? check the position that's bolted on your fuel rail (idk 420a motors where they are bolted at) make sure the position is correct.

i checked the throttle cable where it connects to the throttle body where the tps is located.

Ok Does anybody know how to adjust the tps on 420 engines? because i've been going at it for months bro.
Im looking at the tps i dont see how can it be adjusted

Just loosen the bolts and it turns alittle. It seems like it's installed with tension on it. And when you start the car it thinks it's like wot. Maybe try running the car with it unplugged and see if anything changes.

i unplugged the tps and its the same result. and i cant physically adjust the tps cuz if i move it the bolt holes wont line up

And you sure you have no loose vac lines. Like the fpr? Sorry it's hard to diagnois without being there. Something is allowing to much air into the motor or fuel. What else did you change when you did the rebuild? Is there any settings on that msd or wiring that could be mixed up? What about with the maf unplugged?

Its just a stock rebuild. and no all of my vac lines are hooked up. do u thinks my stage one cams had something to do with it?

any car does not run on a maf sensor it runs on a map
and yes i did unplugged it and when i did my car wont idle

i hear ya man.
Just stage one camshafts for a little extra horsepower.

I guess my last resource is to hire a mechanic that mains on mitsubishi eclipse

How come you changed the tps? Also so can you keep the car running with the map unplugged? Like use the gas peddle and hold slightly? If so the map could be bad and telling the ecu to put more or your getting more than you really are. Could be the ecu

Yeah man the same results im telling you this is the biggest headache i had to deal with. anymore ideas?
