Well my brother bought a 96 gst with a fresh 6bolt swap, Long story short the car starts but wont stay running,

He bought the car from a friend so we have seen the car running with the 6bolt in it and he said it just died one day and now wont stay running, The car has been to a pro shop and they couldnt figure it out So now my bro has it and I figured I would post here and maybe get some info on things to check

6bolt has only 64k on rebuild with paper work, Brand new timing belt

only mods are fmic and exhaust

I can get it to start but it only runs for about 10 seconds then dies, Also if I give it gas it dies instantly

I have fuel and spark, Checked the mpfi relay, Put in a new Cas and a brandnew ecu

What are some other things I can check and test

Fuel pressure regulator
Timing
Compression test.
Leakdown test.

It really sounds like your running pig rich and then stalling out when you touch the throttle. Is this motor running a 1g throttle body? Did you switch the Throttle Position Sensor to the 2g 4 wire sensor? Did you calibrate it after the swap? Are you throwing and CEL Codes? If so what are they? What type cas are you using? 89-90 long wire green lid? 91-92 green lid? or 93-94 black lid?

Did you swap the plug wires?

I havent had a chance to really check out the car, I know its 91-92 cas, Not sure on the tps, throttle body, or plug wires..

No codes, the timing is perfect and has 0 miles on the new belt wich a shop did, Compression is also good

this sound to simple to work but try replacing your fuel filter
it may be getting fuel but how much fuel?
